8 servings (1 cup each)
Ingredients:
6 tea bags
3 cups boiling water
1/8 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp sweetener
5 cups cold water
Directions:
In a medium pot place 6 regular tea bags and 1/8 tsp baking soda (helps keep the tea clear and less bitter).
Pour the boiling water over top of the tea bags and cover.
Allow the tea to steep undisturbed for 20 minutes.
When the time is up, remove the tea bags with a slotted spoon. Do not squeeze the bags as it also leads to bitterness.
Add your sweetener and stir until dissolved.
Add 5 cups of cold water, stir, pour into a jug and chill.
Serve over ice cubes with your desired garnish; lemon, lime, orange berries, mint or rosemary.
Suggested Serving: This is can be made with all kinds of teas but my favourite is the fruit teas. You can use any sweetener or sugar free syrup to sweeten your tea or leave it out altogether.
