Italian Turkey Meatloaf (0 points)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup uncooked onion, chopped

2 tsp minced garlic

2 tsp italian seasoning

1/2 tsp table salt

1 egg

3/4 tomato sauce, divided

1 pound ground turkey breast


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare a baking sheet by covering it in aluminum foil and lightly spraying it. Set aside.

Heat a lightly sprayed large skillet on medium high heat. Add the chopped onions and saute until translucent.

Add the garlic, salt and a pinch of italian seasoning (the rest goes in the meatloaf) to the pan with the onions.

In a large bowl, combine the italian seasoning, salt, 1/4 cup tomato sauce, the egg, the cooked onion mixture and the ground turkey breast. Mix together thoroughly.

On the prepared pan, form a 2-3" high meatloaf. Add the rest of the marinara sauce on top.

Bake for 45 minutes.


Suggested Serving: Serve with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
