6 servings (1/2 cup each)
Ingredients:
2 large turnips, peeled and diced
1/2 tsp table salt
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a medium casserole dish. Set aside.
Add the turnips to a large saucepan and cover with water. Add salt.
Heat up on high until water comes to a boil. Boil turnips until fork tender, about 10 minutes.
Drain and mash until smooth. Add the applesauce and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix until combined.
Spread the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle top with 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon.
Bake for 30 minutes.
