Asian Beef (1 point)

4 servings (1/4 mixture each)


Ingredients:

1/2 cup fat free beef broth

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp date powder

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

1 pound lean beef sirloin, thin strips

1/4 cup onion, chopped

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp ginger root


Directions:

Whisk together the broth, soy sauce, date powder, cornstarch, oil and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

Heat a large sprayed skillet over high heat and add the meat. Fry both sides, until cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

Pour the sauce over the meat, mix, cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.


Serve in bowls with cauliflower rice, rice or noodles and vegetables. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
