Pickled Frog Balls (0 points)

5 servings (5 small or large halves)


Ingredients:

1 cup frozen brussels sprouts

1/2 cup vinegar

1/2 cup water

1/2 tbsp pickling spice

1/2 tbsp celery seed

1/2 tsp table salt

1/8 tsp ground tumeric


Directions:

Fill a clean 500 ml mason jar with the brussels sprouts. Set aside.

In a small saucepan, add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.

Pour the brine over the sprouts and seal.

Let cool to room temperature and refridgerate overnight for the best flavour.


Variations:                                                             

Pickled Eggs - substitute the brussels sprouts with 12 peeled hard boiled eggs, add to a clean 1 L mason jar and double the brine recipe. Refrigerate for a week for the best flavour.
