Slow Cooker Beef & Bean Ragu (0 points)
6 servings (1 cup each)
Ingredients:
1 pound extra lean ground beef
1/2 large onion, diced
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 large carrot, diced
1 large celery stalk, diced
19 oz cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
15 oz diced tomatoes
1 cup fat free beef broth
5 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp italian seasoning
1/2 tsp table salt
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, add the onions and garlic. Continue to cook for a couple of minutes. Add mixture to the slow cooker.
Add the rest of the ingredients, mix.
Cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.
Suggested Serving: Serve over veggie noodles, squash, potatoes, pasta or grains.
