Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps (1 point)


4 servings (1/4 mixture)


Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey breast

1 tbsp garlic chili crisp

1 tsp minced ginger

3 tbsp naked & saucy teriyaki sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

1 can water chestnuts, drained and diced

4 scallions, sliced

16 lettuce leaves


Directions:

Brown the ground turkey, over medium high heat, in a lightly sprayed skillet, breaking up with a wooden spoon, about six minutes.

Add the garlic chili crisp and ginger, continue cooking for one minute.

While the turkey is browning, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and vinegar. Add to the skillet, stir and cook for another minute.

Add the water chestnuts and green onions, stir and cook for another minute.

Spoon mixture onto the lettuce and add additional toppings.


Suggested Serving: Serve with thinly sliced red cabbage, red peppers, radishes, shredded carrot, pickled onions, sliced almonds, sesame seeds and a drizzle of peanut sauce (see recipe).
