Banana Bread Oatmeal (0 points)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup old fashioned oats

1 cup water

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 pinch ground nutmeg

1 pinch table salt

1 banana, ripe and sliced, divided


Directions:

Add the oats, water, cinnamon, vanilla extract, nutmeg, salt and 1/2 sliced banana to a medium saucepan. Stir to combine.

Heat over medium high heat, for about 8-10 minutes.

Stir the oat mixture, pressing down on the bananas, several times to make sure the bananas melt into the oats and the oats don't stick.


Suggested Serving: Serve with yogurt, the other 1/2 banana and nuts with an additional sprinkle of cinnamon.
