Ingredients:
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 plain 0% greek yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 tsp date powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together.
Refrigerate overnight
Can be eaten cold or warmed up combined with fruit, seeds or nuts.
Variations:
Peanut Butter Cup - add 2 tbsp powdered peanut butter + 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa. The points will increase to 2 points.
Vanilla Protein - substitute the date powder with 8g good protein creamy vanilla protein powder. The points remain at 1.
Blueberry Banana Vanilla Protein - substitute the date powder with 8g good protein creamy vanilla protein powder. Add 1/2 mashed banana + 1/2 cup blueberries. The points remain at 1.
Blueberry Lemon Poppy Seed - substitute the date powder with 8g good protein vanilla protein powder. Add 1/2 cup blueberries + 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice + 1 tsp lemon zest + 1 tsp poppy seeds. The points remain at 1.
Chai Apple - leave out the date powder and add a serving of chai microwave gooey apples (see recipe). The points remain at 1.
The original recipe does not call for almond milk, the the variations call for increasing the almond milk? Could you clsrify please?
