Turkey Pepperoni Meatza

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey breast

1 egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 cup canned tomato sauce

1 tbsp italian seasoning

7 sticks turkey pepporoni bites, thinly sliced

1/2 cup canned sliced mushrooms, drained and rinsed

1/2 medium green pepper, thinly sliced

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

98 gm 15% light mozarella cheese, shredded


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare a pizza pan or baking sheet by lightly spraying it with oil. Set aside.

To a medium bowl add the ground turkey, egg, garlic and onion powder. Mix until well combined.

Transfer to the prepared pan and spread out, with wet hands, to the edges. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

While the crust is cooking, mix the tomato sauce with the italian seasoning.

Pull the crust out of the oven and dress with the sauce. Add the toppings and finish off with the shredded mozarella.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Turn the oven to broil in order to brown the cheese. Watch carefully so as to not burn.
