6 servings (1/2 cup each)
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey breast
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 medium red pepper, diced
1 large carrot, diced
2 tsp minced garlic
14 oz can tomato sauce
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Add the ground turkey breast and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Add the onion, red pepper and carrot. Continue cooking and stirring until vegetables soften, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for another couple of minutes.
Add the tomato sauce, relish, vinegar and Worcestershire. Stir.
Add in the chili powder and ground cinnamon. Stir. Simmer for another
10 minutes until the mixture thickens and everything heats all the way through.
Suggested Serving: Serve on bread or buns with a green side salad.
